[glow=red,7,300]sorry im not sure if this is in the right thread, but people in the general board, might think ive gone ku-ku...they already do, but umm thats not the point...hehe[/glow]
Ok, I have two brothers, so i grew up to kinda fight for myself... i also grew up regretting having two brothers and no sisters.. but today and for the last year my brothers have proved to be some what a blessing.. i.e.. today my biggest brother(jason-my hero) came up to me and told me i resembled the description of what a women(thanks j-not a girl ;D) should be in 1 Peter 3. you know what the verse says?
"Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes. Instead, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight. For this is the way the holy women of the past who put their hope in God used to make themselves beautiful. "
ok, im not sure bout what anyone thinks, but that is by far, the biggest, sweetest and most specialistist compliment i have ever received, and my brother does not talk alot, let alone give compliments... i have the hugestest smile on my face ;D i mean i know i dont fit that description, (no women will ever perfectly fit that- but you know we try.. hehe) but geez maneez, the thought definitely counts here!!

*applauds*
I have a twin brother and a younger sister. My brother is quite annoying, and it seems someone is always mad at him for something or other, and it's always his fault - but he always manages to blame someone else. Yeah. So, you can imagine how surprised I was when he came into my room one night and asked me, "How do I get closer to God?" What a weird coincedence that I happened to be reading my student Bible for the first time in months right then. He went on to ask about the Bible, about parables, about all that good stuff. Wow. This from a kid who previously didn't even sing in church!
My little sister needs no help in the religion department... the other day, she comes up to my Dad (she's six) and asks if he will hang a copy of the "Hail Mary" above her bed so she can learn it. She conquered the "Our Father" when she was four or five. Within a week, she knew it perfectly. She goes crazy if someone doesn't read the Bible with her at night - my dad is going through the whole thing with her, and I believe they're somewhere in Exodus.
So, sometimes my siblings are downright annoying (7:00 am: "Sarah! Wake up! I need help!" *fling stuffed animal*) and sometimes they are wonderful. I think they are definitely a blessing.

awww thats so adorable.. i know this kinda seems outta topic on this particular subj. but dont you love the fact that christianity is a relationship and not a religion? i was just thinking bout it now, people are always seeing it as a whole bunch-a rules... its nothing like that, ya know? the only reason there is such a thing as 'christianity' is because a loving God chose to love us.. so awesome that both your siblings are seekin God at such a young age.. most people resort to God just as they die and regret their whole lives, your brother and sister have an oppertunity to live their whole lives living for God. ok sorry, im getting kinda carried away... ;D still awesome...

Hey, no carried away where God is involved... indescribable, right?
Yeah, there's lots of rules but also so much freedom! Everyone approaches Christianity in a different way, and most ways are beautiful. Me, I like music. When I can't find words to express exactly what I need to say to God, I sing it. I always learn hymns in the hymnbook when Father Joe is giving the homily... *guilty*
Heh, way off topic...

Well ya know, im not sure its rules. I think if theres any rule, its to Love God with our whole hearts and love other unconditionally and then do whatever you want. Its not a license to 'kill'(sin) but rather a liberty to serve him wholeheartedly(if that makes sense) i know we always fail God, but the most important is definitely to love Him. Ya know im kinda rambling, and may not be making sense, but hey... ;D btw, i dunno what id do without music, and it is definitely the one way i can most express my love and devotion to Him

Yup - but there's so much that fits under the definition of "sin" it can seem kind of daunting. But it's pretty easy not to sin - I don't mean be perfect, but just not insulting someone, or not spreading a rumor, little everyday things that can help so much. I'm sounding cheesy now... but oh well, it's true! What a very inspiring conversation.
