It is a humid summer day on Chantilly Lane. Not two hours ago, Mike dashed up the street, headed for the home of David to proclaim great news -
"The fort is done! My dad finished the fort!!!"
Gasps resound around the room. All those present have been waiting for this moment for months. Suddenly, an unnamed voice calls out from the corner -
"Whose is it?"
Within five minutes, swords are drawn and everyone sprints for the Creek to prepare for the great and glorious Battle for the Fort.
[glow=green,2,300]Woo hoo! ok, So, this is the great and terrible Swords RPG. Roight.
This is a realistic RP. No fantastic creatures, magical weapons, super powers, etc. We battle with fake weapons for a completely meaningless goal. W00t!
This battle will decide possession of the two-story, heavily guarded Fort resting next to the trampoline. The first floor is up on seven-foot stilts, and only accessible through a trap door that once locked cannot be penetrated. The only other entrance is the window - but it's nine feet off the ground. The second floor is completely walled in and fifteen feet up. A sort of balcony extends off the first floor for the use of long range weapons (such as arrows).
It will take place along the part of the Creek from Mike's property to Bamboo Forest and the Tunnel. For those of you who have never seen Chantilly Lane, this is wooded area with a small stream running through it. The only large obstacle along this course is a six-foot high wall (official name: the Wall) running through it. Not hard to RP in. ;D
For those of you who have never played Swords before, it's a game in which many people with wooden swords make and break alliances to "win." In this case, the person or team who successfully infiltrates the Fort first is the winner.
A note on battles - I suggest rolling dice or flipping a coin to see who wins (as in Lego games - Nick knows what I'm talking about). RPed battles take ages and are very hard to figure out. So... yeah.
If you have any complaints or suggestions for rules, put them forward in green text!!! Let the RPG begin![/glow]
[glow=red,2,300]...after the usual preliminary rules!
1. Keep it nice. No profanity, nasty name calling, etc.
2. By all accounts argue about the outcome of a fight. That's part of the tradtion. Just... shut up when it gets really annoying. ;D
3. Alliances are made to broken! Abandon your honor here! (Just... no more Dishonorable Dill... *shudder*)
4. *sings* Don't worry! Be happy! (Audience: )
5. Pretty much anything goes when it comes to taking the Fort. Go nuts. Like the time Tristaff planted boards in the window and climbed up... *fond memories*
6. Have fun! And take the fort![/glow]
