ok so ya I'm bored and we seriously need some knew....stuff. and this is really dumb but hey! why not try it anyway! k so words that you think are weird. just what it says in the subject title thing. k one for me is stuff like bored and board and tea and tee and stupid things like that that totally mess you up because they sound EXACTLY the same!! why in the world would someone make a language that has words that sound exactly the same but have different meanings??? like watch and watch! hellooooooo??? how are we supposed to know which watch is which?? and I've probably spelled everything wrong but hey. who cares. I'm having fun. so....where was I??? oh and did you know if you say a word a rediculously number of times, then you start thinking its the wrong word and it starts sounding not so right anymore and you just get totally confused....that's happened to me a lot.....I'm weird though so maybe that's just me lol ok well if anybody is as bored as me and has some idle time to waste, be sure to come and join me in my......wonderfully confusing word talk.

Yeah! Like once I said "chip" over and over and over and over and then it didn't sound like "chip" anymore.
I was thinking of words like "watch" and "watch" because in a story I'm writing, a character who's trying to learn to read yells almost exactly the same thing... kinda weird, huh?
WHY does the letter C exist? We already have S and K! And why X? There's already KS and Z! It's so annoying! No wonder illiteracy is so high! And then you get into vowels, all of which can be pronounced like three different ways... like E: "ee" and "eh" and even "ay"! And then you start sticking letters together. Why does DG make the same sound as J? Why not just spell "BRIDGE" as "BRIJ"? It would be so much simpler!
*pant pant* Rant over. Thank you.

Exactly! I always think the whole spelling thing is such a nusance! ...well....considering I hate english and love math...I guess that kida makes a difference....but anyway. all these words in science you have to learn and especially being a homeschooler you kinda just say it in your head and that's the way you say it, and then you say it to someone and they're like....uh no it actually is said like- blahblah blah, and your like, well then why is it spelled like THAT huh? ? oh oh! and like these towns in Scotland here. the one town is spelled Milngavie and it's pronounced Mil-guy....now how does THAT make sense???

Gaelic is really annoying. The proper spelling is "Gaidhlig" and it's pronounced the same way as Gaelic. Which, by the way, would be much less confusing if it were spelled Gaylik.
