man that is so encouraging... isnt it just awesome how God sends christian friends to encourage you just when you need it?
Geez summin really bad happened last night.. My friend who i have known for 7 years (Dale) and him and his girlfriend stopped outside his girlfriends house, and when they got out... 5 guys with guns held them up and told them to get on the ground face down, The girlfriends sister saw all this and pressed the alarm. Then the dad ran outside and they threatened to shoot everyone unless he also got on the ground. they then asked Dale for his keys to his car. and Dale said he couldnt find his keys.(could have been a fatal mistake) but he said he would give them his cell phone and wallet. They proceeded to search the car for the keys and searched him and when they found them, suddenly they got scared off realizing they wererunning out of time cause of the alarm, so they took his keys and wallet and phone and ran off. They didnt touch them. how amazing? usually in these cases, even if they succeed in getting the car, they kill everyone. God was so good and obviously has a plan for Dale. man i dont know what would have happened if they shot at some one.
You know you always hear of these stories but when it happens to someone really close it affects you in a very different way.
Praise the Lord.

Wow! oh my word! I can't believe that happened! That must be so scary! That really is awesome though that they didn't get hurt. So did Dale come to church again? or did you see him somewhere else? Cause I know he kinda had stopped coming for a while.Maybe God did this to make Dale realize that he really does need God in his life........I don't know, but I guess I can't really say since I don't know Dale that well and don't know if he's really walking with the Lord or not.

Well, yeah Dale has been a christian for a while, like 5 yrs, but both his parents arent, and so its always been kinda hard for him to stay committed, and really stand up for what he believes in... and this year, well he doesnt come to church anymore, but we still cant judge him ya know. although this could very well be God kinda givin him a huge wake up call.. God is a great and mysterious God, and we will never know why He does things, we can just know that He has a master plan, and can trust Him with all our hearts. Lets hope Dale sees that...

Wow, man, I have met Dale, usually when you hear something like that it's a friend of someone you know, not usually someone that you have met! Wow, yeah, let's hope that this helps his spiritual walk and doesn't hurt it.

ya......sometimes when stuff like that happens people are like " how could God have let that happen". I guess we'll just have to pray that Dale doesn't go that way.

The Lords ways are not our ways...
Beginning of February this year, three missionaries from America visited our house. They were on a trip from Cape Town, South Africa to Cairo, Egypt. Two of the boys were Erik(22) and Alex(17/18). They were brothers. What a wonderful family. On their trip they endured so much, they travelled only on their motorcycles. Never have i met such young men so committed to Gods calling and serving and loving Him. Today i heard that at the end of the trip, in Cairo there was a terrorist attack. While Erik and his friend are in ICU, Alex passed away. I cannot tell you how it feels to know that just two months ago i was sitting outside talking to these boys, and being so impressed and astounded at their faithfullness and trust in the Lords plan for them. They knew what they were getting into. Yet not an ounce of fear was to be seen in their eyes. Now today, the youngest, most precious is gone. Although we can rejoice at the assurance that he is with His loving Father in Heaven, we mourn that he was taken at a such a young age. Please Pray for their family, their friend and especially Erik, who was so lovingly protective over his little brother. Pray that the God of comfort would soothe their aching hearts. Also that God would give the doctors wisdom while treating Erik and his friend.

Wow, yeah, I will be praying. Sorry to hear that though.
I know I'm on Kimnas instead of Nickster but I think it'll be okay.

Wow... I have already prayed for them, that must have been so hard. It's so awesome to hear about people so committed, though.
Seems kinda out of place now, but I have a praise: Gateway testing is over! And I made it with little trouble. But we have CRCT next week... pray for me and all the other poor unfortunate souls being forced to take it!

YAY!
CRCT is the big standardized test we have to take. >:-(
Pray for me, who cleaned up her room the other day. I was digging under the bed when I found my Bible. It slipped there after months of lying beside the bed waiting to be read. It's a sad thing when your only Bible has dust accumulated on the cover from disuse.

Hey - some time ago, I said "Pray for my street." It's been answered wonderfully. People are getting better, unnamed people are back in school after suspension, and whole drugs/alcohol thing has been weeded out (yay for parents!).
