Patches was a doll. She was a calico kitten that we had but had to give away.
I have an album of pictures of her, but I'm only posting my favorites.
Patches got her name because she looked like she was patched up. She got all the attention, well most of it, 'cuz she was the runt and cutest of the group of 5 we had. (Not to be hateful or anything!)
She would do something me and mum called a "run and slide," where we'd put her on the other side of the bed and move our fingers on the opposite side. And she'd run, dive down, and slide. It was halirous.
Patches LOVED to watch the fish. She'd sit there for half an hour at a time, watching the fish swim. Sometimes she coudl sit on their tank, and freak them out, and sleep on the table they are on watching them!!
Patches was a runt. She was the runt of the group but the first to start eating dry food. We are proud of her 'cuz she moved from milk up to dry food in one huge step! She started the group off, everyone startd, and, within a week all 4 'cept Muffin (grey kitten who looked like a muffin!) was eating.
Patches liked to run. Her and Mini-Me (looked EXACTLY like his mom!)) would have "races" down the hallway and Patches would slide across the tiled floors liek she was skating. It was funny.
Patches liked to sleep in a jar. A large jar we had. She liked to climb in there and be all "Can't get me!" and sleep in there. It was funny.
Patches schedle was basically thiis: sleep, play, sleep, play, eat, sleep, play. That's all. She'd run around our yard chasing bugs, crickets, beetles, worms, geekos, snakes, grasshoppers.. she had a tendency to bring some of those inside to play with them. it was funny, but she brought a baby blue-jay in once taht man-man had apparently gotten to (i think), and we felt horrible.
Patchs played with ANYTHING; seeds, erasers, strings, ice cubes, ice, water, cat food, your nose.. you name it.
In Memorance...
